This board is a breakout for the sixteen-channel analog digital multiplexer demultiplexer CD74HC4067. It works like an electronic rotary switch and connects one common signal pin to one of sixteen channels. The module supports both analog and digital signals as long as the signal voltage does not exceed the supply voltage.

The channel selection is controlled using four digital address pins named S0 to S3. By sending a binary value to these pins you can select which channel is connected to the signal pin. This allows up to sixteen sensors or signals to be connected using only five microcontroller pins. The internal switches are bidirectional, which means signals can flow in either direction. This makes the module suitable for routing serial data and other digital communication lines.
