Principle of Operation

The KY-006 uses a passive piezoelectric buzzer, which requires an externally generated electrical signal to produce sound. A microcontroller can generate a square-wave signal at a specific frequency and apply it to the signal input of the module.

Wiring

The module can be driven directly from a suitable microcontroller output capable of generating a tone signal. For the example connection, the signal pin is connected to Arduino digital pin 8 and the ground pin is connected to Arduino GND.
