Wiring

The Mini DC-DC Boost Converter Module is very easy to wire thanks to its standard 2.54mm pin spacing. It features four pins: two for input power and two for output power.

Pin Description

Pin Label Description
VIN+ Positive input voltage (0.9V – 5V)
VIN out GND - common ground (GND)
VOUT+ Boosted output voltage (+5V)

Basic Wiring Example

  • Connect the positive terminal of the power source (battery or low-voltage supply) to VIN+.
  • Connect the negative terminal of the power source to VIN out GND -.
  • Connect VOUT+ to the 5V input of your load (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, wireless module, LEDs, etc.).
  • Connect VIN out GND -  to the ground (GND) of your load.

Example: Powering an Arduino / Breadboard

  • Battery (+) → VIN+
  • Battery (–) → VIN out GND -
  • VOUT+ → Arduino 5V pin or breadboard 5V rail
  • VIN out GND - → Arduino GND or breadboard GND rail

Important Wiring Notes

  • Ensure the input voltage does not exceed 5V.
  • The input current must be sufficient to supply the required output power.
  • Do not short VOUT+ and VIN out GND -
  • Avoid running the module at maximum load for long periods without proper airflow.
