The Encoder Speed Sensor is composed of an IR LED and an IR Photodiode, functioning together as a Photo-Coupler (Opto-Coupler). It detects objects using infrared radiation and includes LEDs for power and digital output indication. The digital output signal becomes HIGH when an object obstructs the sensor gap and LOW when there is no obstruction.
