The Ethernet LAN8720 module is based on the high-performance LAN8720 10/100 Mbps Ethernet Physical Layer Transceiver (PHY) from SMSC (now part of Microchip). It is designed for use with microcontrollers supporting the RMII (Reduced Media Independent Interface) for Ethernet connectivity.
