Transistor NPN C1815

The C1815 is a widely used NPN transistor commonly found in commercial and educational projects. It is designed for audio frequency amplification and high-frequency oscillation (OSC). With a collector-base voltage of 50V, it is well-suited for circuits operating below 50V DC. The transistor supports a maximum collector current of 150mA, making it suitable for driving small loads under this limit. Its good collector power dissipation and wide DC current gain range make it an excellent choice for audio and signal amplification as well as switching applications.

Usage

The C1815 transistor is suitable for use in audio amplification stages, small audio amplifiers (driving small speakers), and preamplifier circuits. It can also be used as a switch in electronic circuits to drive loads under 150mA, such as relays, low-power LEDs, other transistors, and circuit modules. Additionally, it can be used in Darlington pair configurations to achieve higher current gain.

Applications

  • Sensor circuits
  • Audio preamplifiers
  • Audio amplifier stages
  • Switching loads under 150mA
  • RF circuits

Safe Operating Guidelines

For long-term reliable performance, do not exceed the 150mA collector current or the maximum voltage ratings. Always use an appropriate base resistor to provide sufficient base current, and operate within the safe temperature range of -55°C to +150°C. Following these precautions ensures stability and longevity of the C1815 transistor in circuits.
