Crystal 32.768Khz Passive Quartz Resonator Oscillator

This is a low-cost 32.768KHz crystal oscillator, commonly used to provide clock pulses to microcontrollers and other ICs requiring an external clock source. The crystal consists of two electrically conductive plates with a slice of quartz crystal sandwiched between them. It operates by taking a voltage signal from the quartz resonator, amplifying it, and feeding it back to sustain oscillation. Thanks to the properties of quartz, the frequency stability over temperature changes is excellent.
