Compared to the SIM7080G, this module also supports GPRS (2G), and compared to the SIM7000C/E, it is more generic due to its support for global bands. It features a standard Raspberry Pi 40PIN GPIO extension header for compatibility with all Raspberry Pi boards, supports multiple communication protocols, and includes an onboard USB interface for testing AT commands and GPS positioning. Breakout UART pins enable connectivity with Arduino/STM32. The SIM card slot supports only 1.8V SIM cards. Two LED indicators provide status monitoring. It comes with development resources and examples for Raspberry Pi, Arduino, and STM32.
